Run Time: 2 hours 44 minutes

4.4 / 5

I definitely enjoyed this film compared to the first Blade Runner.

However, they are both very intriguing in their own respects. Obviously, the first Blade Runner is great for diving into this world. It is a very unique.

The sci-fi aspects are always awesome. Very cool technology displayed. The film dives right into the Blade Runner taking care of business.

You don’t necessarily have to see the original Blade Runner to understand what is going on in Blade Runner 2049. It does add more intrigue though to the plot if you have.

Ana de Armas as Joi was a nice complement to Ryan Gosling as the Blade Runner.

Great film but Blade Runner 2049 is long and does feel long.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

The conclusion though is action-packed. Satisfying and interested to potentially see the Blade Runner world continue.
