Run Time: 1 hour 49 minutes

2.1 / 5

When the network of satellites designed to control the global climate starts to attack Earth, it’s a race against the clock to uncover the real threat before a worldwide Geostorm wipes out everything and everyone.

Geostorm is a bit of a letdown, understandably. However it had potential to be a bit better, I think.

The film practically shows the Geostorm buildup bits, in the movie trailers. Now if there were an actual Geostorm, then a lot more people globally on Earth would have to die. Thus the film dabbles into catastrophic events caused by the mega-satellite in space. Which still shows a ton of CGI and random extras dying off. It is just not an actual Geostorm as described in the film, to potentially occur.

The CGI though was kind of comical, in a few scenes due to the low budget look of it. Some CGI was kind of cool to see. Regardless this film is simply to just enjoy entertaining your mind to ridiculous events. It reminded myself a bit of Sharknado.

There are better ‘Disaster Genre’ big budget films.
